Two Vehicle Crash Kills One Victim
Tragedy struck on Wednesday morning as a Tuscumbia man lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Alabama Highway 20, situated approximately 3 miles southeast of Muscle Shoals.
The victim, identified as 76-year-old Jimmie D. Smallwood, was driving a 2005 Ford Freestyle when the fatal incident occurred. The collision transpired when Smallwood’s vehicle was struck by a 2016 Nissan Rogue, driven by 24-year-old Emma C. Snipes of Tuscumbia, as reported by Troopers from the Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Regrettably, Smallwood succumbed to the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The details surrounding the incident are currently the subject of investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
