Police Investigating After Man Dies of Gunshot Wound.

Officers were called to the 300 block of 74th Street North in Birmingham around 12:30 a.m. after receiving a report of an individual down in the road.

When officers arrived, they discovered an unresponsive adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.

The unidentified man was declared dead at 12:40 a.m. Monday, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Information is limited at this time and, according to authorities, no one is currently in custody.
