Powerball Jackpot Balloons to $900 Million ahead of Monday’s Drawing

Before you decide to play, keep in mind that all of the many millions of dollars Alabamians will be spending in attempts at winning this jackpot will go toward benefiting other states.
Another Powerball drawing on Saturday night resulted in no winner, causing the jackpot to reach an estimated $900 million. The winning combination for Saturday’s drawing was not matched by any ticket, consisting of white balls 2, 9, 43, 55, 57, and red Powerball 18.
Initially estimated at $875 million, the jackpot for Monday’s drawing offers two options for ticket buyers: a $900 million payout in yearly installments or a $465.1 million lump sum before taxes. Powerball stated that this top prize is the third largest in Powerball history and the seventh largest in U.S. lottery history.
Although there was no jackpot winner, three tickets matched all five white balls and are eligible to claim $1 million prizes, with two in Texas and one in Colorado.
The jackpot will continue to grow until it is won.
The game’s odds of being won are 1 in 292.2 million. The game is designed to generate large prizes and to attract more players.
The largest Powerball jackpot to date was $2.04 billion in November of 2022. The most recent Powerball jackpot winner was on April 19, with a top prize of nearly $253 million. Since then, there have been 37 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner.
Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
